The January blues are nothing to sneeze at. Maybe you are in between pharmacy jobs and want to make some money while having a change of scenery. You’re in luck, because this town, where our client’s pharmacy is located, is far off the beaten path. The area is renowned for its port, surrounded by the glistening water of the Pacific Ocean. Within reach are several areas with outstanding access to wildlife and BC’s famous old-growth trees. There’s also a nice, cozy cafe and restaurant scene where you can choose to relax and unwind a bit after a day of work. Clear your mind and restore your sense of focus with this locum pharmacist job.

The Pharmacist’s Duties:

  • The first day you would be working at our client’s pharmacy is Sunday January 26th, from 2 PM to 10 PM.
  • The following two days (Monday January 27th and Tuesday January 28th) you will be working from 8 AM to 4 PM. The first evening after work on Monday would be the best time to look around the area.
  • In this retail pharmacy, you can expect to check an average of 250 scripts per day.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to check for accuracy, and then to disseminate drugs to patients based on what the scripts say.
  • During your shifts, especially the Sunday evening shift, you will be representing the pharmacy when communicating with patients. Our client needs you to excel at conversing with patients and helping them with their prescriptions.
  • You will provide information about each drug being given to patients, such as what the dosage requirements are and what side effects the patient might experience.

Required Credentials for this Pharmacist Job:

  • You must be licensed in the province of British Columbia.
  • You must be in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
  • You need to be a graduate of a Pharmacy undergraduate program.
  • Our client wants to hire someone with practical knowledge of Healthwatch software.
