Hiring Now: Retail Pharmacist in Southern British Columbia

For a pharmacist who is trying to build their career in the retail pharmacy world, Vancouver can be an inhospitable, challenging place to work and live. Full-time pharmacist work is hard to find, as there is so much competition. Rent in Metro Vancouver is among the most expensive in the entirety of Canada. Daily Duties of the Pharmacist:

  • Your working contract will extend from Monday December 2nd until Tuesday December 31st.
  • If you’re unsure about your plans over the holidays, or you simply want to take some time for yourself, then this job would be a good fit for you.
  • This job’s working hours include shifts where you will open the pharmacy. Other shifts will require you to close the pharmacy premises.
  • Each shift will be approximately 7.5 hours in duration.
  • You will procure drugs based on patients’ prescription scripts.
  • You may also take calls from patients over the phone, where you will have to advise them regarding their prescription drug usage.
  • You will provide periodic drug consultations to patients.
  • The pharmacist will use the pharmacy’s patient record system to detect potential drug incompatibilities with incoming scripts.
  • The pharmacist will administer methadone to patients.
  • You will also administer flu shots for patients.

What Our Client Requires of You:

  • The pharmacist is required to have a strong working knowledge of the Healthwatch pharmacy system software.
  • 1 year of previous pharmacist experience in a retail pharmacy is required.
  • The pharmacist is required to have injection certification.
  • You are also required to have methadone certification.
  • You must be licensed to practice pharmacy in British Columbia.
  • You must have an undergraduate degree (BSc) in Pharmacy.
