Meet Our Team: Bogdana Zakharovich

Hello, my name is Bogdana! I come from Russia originally, where I was born in Yekaterinburg. This is a city much further east in Russia’s interior, which maybe explains why I don’t mind Canadian winters! I would also say that my upbringing there instilled a sense of strength and resolve to succeed that sets me apart.

From pretty early on, I knew that I wanted to be involved in the business world. I initially studied advertising and public relations at Saint Petersburg State University, graduating with my undergraduate degree in 2016. It was an experience that taught me how to sell, first and foremost, but also to be aware of people’s behaviour and psychology in a professional environment. While I was studying in this undergraduate program, I became very passionate about learning English, and even started a language club with foreign exchange students.

This sparked my interest in moving to an English-speaking country, Canada in particular, because I wanted to do business in this new language I had learned. I wanted to apply my knack for convincing sales work in an even more challenging environment than where I came from. I don’t like to stay in my ‘comfort zone’ so to speak!

With some advertising work experience under my belt, I applied to work in Canada and soon moved to Toronto. I wanted to be involved more in sales and recruiting, because I preferred interpersonal communication over writing. I was working in one particular company as a recruiter for about a year and a half. This was very challenging to start, but it prepared me for the role of recruiting at RPI Consulting Group Inc. I hadn’t previously thought about working in the healthcare and pharmacy sector, but I identified with the goal and practices of the company and things have worked out very well since I joined.

Fundamentally, my philosophy as a recruitment specialist is to encourage candidates to push the boundaries of what they think they are capable of. If you are a pharmacy assistant, go seek your license as a regulated pharmacy technician. If you are a regulated pharmacy technician, then study to become a licensed pharmacist. If you aren’t moving forward, then you are moving backwards. I do this for the benefit of all of our Candidates, in addition to giving the very best to our Clients.

Having said that, I do take time to rest and relax. I particularly enjoy playing golf, iceskating, and walking my dachshund in the lovely parks all around Toronto. I also play classical cello in my free time, something that I started learning from a young age.

Now that you know my philosophy and background as a recruitment specialist, be sure to call RPI Consulting Group Inc, so that our healthcare and pharmacy recruiting team can help staff your pharmacy or healthcare facility.
