For a pharmacist who is trying to build their career in the retail pharmacy world, Vancouver can be an inhospitable, challenging place to work and live. Daily Duties of the Pharmacist:
- Your working contract will extend from Monday December 2nd until Tuesday December 31st.
- If you’re unsure about your plans over the holidays, or you simply want to take some time for yourself, then this job would be a good fit for you.
- This job’s working hours include shifts where you will open the pharmacy. Other shifts will require you to close the pharmacy premises.
- Each shift will be approximately 7.5 hours in duration.
- You will procure drugs based on patients’ prescription scripts.
- You may also take calls from patients over the phone, where you will have to advise them regarding their prescription drug usage.
- You will provide periodic drug consultations to patients.
- The pharmacist will use the pharmacy’s patient record system to detect potential drug incompatibilities with incoming scripts.
- The pharmacist will administer methadone to patients.
- You will also administer flu shots for patients.
What Our Client Requires of You:
- The pharmacist is required to have a strong working knowledge of the Healthwatch pharmacy system software.
- 1 year of previous pharmacist experience in a retail pharmacy is required.
- The pharmacist is required to have injection certification.
- You are also required to have methadone certification.
- You must be licensed to practice pharmacy in British Columbia.
- You must have an undergraduate degree (BSc) in Pharmacy.
