A managerial role

For this assignment, we’re looking for a skilled pharmacist who would be willing to work as a pharmacy manager for approximately 3 months, commencing June 1 and ending on or around August 31. You will be managing a retail, community pharmacy that fills an average of 200 prescriptions per day, working 42 hours per week, and you will be expected to work one weekend per month. You will be working alongside several experienced pharmacy assistants throughout the duration of the assignment. In addition, you’ll be expected to have the following:

  • A reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license (this is a must-have)
  • Experience with blister packs
  • Knowledge of the Kroll pharmacy system
  • Additional prescribing authorization (APA) would be considered a great asset

The following qualifications are also necessary:

  • Alberta-licensed Pharmacist
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy
  • Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada certificate
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work well with others in team environment

Ultimately, we are looking for a candidate who is comfortable and confident to take over the managerial duties of the pharmacy while our client is away on extended leave. The salary for this position will be $65 per hour.
