Relief pharmacist sought for six-month assignment in Manitoba

RPI Consulting Group has recently received an urgent request for a relief pharmacist in Manitoba. Our client is looking for someone to work a six-month contract to cover a maternity leave in a small community pharmacy located about an hour away from the city of Winnipeg, and it could be YOU! The town

This beautiful, picturesque town is close to Winnipeg if you prefer to be near a busy city, but it’s far enough away that you can enjoy quiet wilderness in a small-town setting. The chosen candidate will get to spend 6 months in this incredible spot, and if you decide that you’d like to eventually make your move permanent, this area is perfect for settling down and raising a family. And in addition, the assignment has the potential to become permanent – trust us when we say that it will be in high demand!

The details

On average, this pharmacy fills approximately 150 prescriptions per day. The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm, and closed on Sundays. The chosen candidate will be expected to work Monday to Friday and two Saturday per month for the duration of the contract. Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor-level degree in Pharmacy
  • Licensed Pharmacist (Licensed to practice in the Province of Manitoba)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail pharmacy is required
  • Customer service mindset, dynamic personality, demonstrated organizational skills, strong leadership skills, business development experience and strong communication skills (written, verbal), reliable, team player. Proficiency with Kroll is preferred.
