In this position, you won’t have to worry about the exhausting over-time hours associated with Registered Nurse jobs in hospital environments. Your schedule will be based around the opening hours of the school itself, allowing you to rest in between each work day so that you will be refreshed and in good condition to do your work.
This full-time position starts as soon as possible, paying you the equivalent $25 dollars per hour. And because you would be working in a school, you will have the summer off!
Regardless of which mode of transport you choose to use, this workplace is located within convenient access by car and public transit. The town is an active place, with greenery, walking paths, and access to beautiful lake land scenery. You would maintain a very high quality of life in between your working hours.
The Duties of the Registered Nurse:
- You will be working full-time hours, from 7:45 AM until 4:00 PM each day.
- You will work from Monday to Friday every week.
- Providing healthcare to students with acute or chronic health problems
- Developing and monitoring health plans for students
- Conducting screenings and writing referrals for health services
- Updating students’ medical records
- Educating students on how to avoid communicable diseases and having proper hygiene
- Comply with federal and provincial health legislation
- Organize and update student inoculation records
- Provide counselling to students and their families as required

Job Requirements:
- You must have a valid Registered Nurse license in New Brunswick
- You must have your own malpractice insurance
- Demonstrated clinical, emergency, and counselling skills are required
- Graduate of a four-year post-secondary nursing program.
- You must have current ACLS, BCLS, CPR and First-Aid certifications
- 2 years previous experience as a registered nurse in a clinic setting (previous school nurse experience would be a strong asset)
- Confident spoken and written English skills are needed
- Competence in spoken French would be an asset
- Member of the Nurse Association of New Brunswick
