Hiring a Pharmacy Assistant in New Brunswick for a 3-Month Contract

Our Client’s pharmacy is located in Moncton, within access of the city centre.

We know that some pharmacy assistants out there are just starting to build their experience and may be transitioning out of other sectors. For those of you who have warehouse experience but want to become more involved in the pharmacy world, this pharmacy assistant position would act as a great bridge.

The job is an even combination of warehouse associate work and pharmacy assistant duties:

  • You will spend half of your time working with incoming and outgoing shipments of prescriptions.
  • You must be able to lift packages of up to 30 kg (roughly 66 lbs)
  • You will keep the warehouse organized and clean so that the pharmacy can effectively distribute prescriptions to patients.
  • The other half of your working hours will be in the pharmacy.
  • Within the pharmacy side of the location, you will be maintaining the inventory of the pharmacy and supporting the duties of licensed pharmacists who are checking prescriptions for accuracy.
  • You will package and label drugs after they are checked by the pharmacists on-site, to be distributed to
  • This is a pharmacy without walk-in patients.

Requirements For This Position:

  • You should have at least two years of previous warehouse associate experience.
  • One year of pharmacy assistant experience is also essential.
  • Ideally, the Client is looking for someone who has studied a pharmacy-related subject at a post-secondary level.
  • The ability to work well within a team and independently is important.
