This pharmacy is a 1 hour and 45 minute drive away from Edmonton. This locum job involves driving up to the location, working for two weeks, and then coming back home.
From the end of February to the first week of March, qualified pharmacy technicians in and around Edmonton will be able to work in a small-town pharmacy and make a difference in the local area. The Job You’ll Be Taking On:
- Your working hours will be from 9 AM to 5 PM, from Monday to Friday.
- Your primary responsibility will be to check maintenance drug prescriptions, procuring the drugs from the pharmacy’s inventory.
- You will be checking for the accuracy of prescription scripts, relative to any other drugs that patients may be taking.
- You may be required to package, label, and cash out prescriptions purchases for customers.
Required Qualifications:
- First and foremost, you must be licensed as a pharmacy technician in Alberta.
- You need to have graduated from a post-secondary RPhT/pharmacy technician program.
- Working knowledge of Kroll pharmacy software would be a strong asset.
- One year of previous pharmacy technician experience in a retail pharmacy is required.
- Our Client needs a technician who can work well within a team as well as independently. Strong English speaking abilities are needed.
- You will need access to a car to reach the pharmacy location.
