To all frontline healthcare workers: THANK YOU from RPI!

It’s hard to believe, but the COVID-19 pandemic has officially been ongoing for over a year now, and to say that it’s been a difficult year is an understatement. It’s been a year of social distancing, ‘the new normal’, restaurant and store closures, not being able to see family and friends, saying goodbye to those we’ve lost…in short, the pandemic has completely changed the world and life as we know it.

From the heart

At RPI, we’re pleased to be considered an essential service throughout the pandemic, and it’s truly our honour to work with healthcare workers from across the country on a regular basis. Throughout the pandemic, we’ve worked diligently to keep nursing homes, long-term care facilities, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and more fully staffed and operational. And we know that there’s more to come.

But it’s you – the healthcare workers – who are the true heroes, and we want to take a moment to give you message from all of us here at RPI: thank you.

Our sincere gratitude

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for continuing to work during the pandemic and making a difference in the lives of Canadians. Thank you for working long shifts, overtime, and in emergency situations. Thank you for taking the risk and ensuring that those who needed care and assistance during these difficult times had someone to rely on. We can say it a million different ways, but the sentiment remains the same for all registered practical nurses (RPNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), registered nurses (RNs), personal support workers (PSWs), doctors, social workers, dietary aides, pharmacists, pharmacy managers, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants and more – thank you for all that you do.

In closing
