Located just west of Toronto, Georgetown’s population and overall growth has exploded over the last few years – and for good reason! This friendly and inviting spot is a perfect place to raise a family, with a historical downtown area, fantastic parks and hiking trails, a mid-sized shopping mall, and it’s only a short drive away from the cities of Brampton, Mississauga, and of course, Toronto.
RPI’s client runs a nursing home in Georgetown, and they’re looking for an experienced RPN who will be able to start working no later than January 8. You will be expected to work full-time hours between Monday to Friday, working 8 hours shifts with start times varying from 5:30 AM – 11:30 AM. Candidates should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and well in a team environment. We are looking for compassionate and reliable professionals who will be able to provide outstanding care to the home’s residents, and the chosen candidate will be compensated $30 per hour. We are also looking for an RPN who has access to reliable transportation, and/or lives only a short distance away, as there is no public transportation in Georgetown aside from infrequent GO trains and buses.
What are the requirements?

1-2 years’ of experience in a nursing home or LTC setting is preferred

Able to work independently with minimal supervision and able to work well in a team environment

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsible, reliable, and compassionate

In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.)

Previous experience with COVID-19 testing preferred, but not required
