Our client is a Canadian company that owns clinics and is increasingly involved in pharmaceuticals for nursing homes. Their business is increasing, especially in this bustling, urban location. They also manufacture their own specialty drugs.
Job Duties:
– Our client needs the pharmacy assistant with the availability to work between three and four weeks, starting on October 4th.
– Working hours are between 9 AM and 5:30 PM, from Monday to Friday
– This pharmacy works regularly with diabetes-specific prescriptions, including insulin strips. Knowledge of these products would be highly regarded by the client.
– Assisting all licensed pharmacists in their daily prescription script processing through the use of pharmacy software.
– Filling prescriptions and compounding medications.
– Managing stock and inventory
Credentials Needed:
– First and foremost, this client has emphasized the importance of a candidate who can communicate in English with aptitude: this encompasses writing, speaking, and reading.
– Candidates with top-level communication can potentially have their contract extended.
– Completion of a certification program for pharmacy assistant work would be an asset.
– Past knowledge and experience using a pharmacy software platform (e.g. Nexxsys) would be an asset, making your transition into this job smoother.
– Previous, long-term experience (over 1 year) as a pharmacy assistant is key.
Payment:
– Your hourly rate will be commensurate to your experience.
– You will receive a 30 minute unpaid break, as well as two 15 minute paid breaks.
