Pharmacy Assistant Needed for One Month in Stratford, Ontario

Skills You’ll Need:

  • You need to have two years of pharmacy assistant experience in a community pharmacy environment.
  • You need to know how to use the Nexxsys pharmacy software platform.
  • You should be a graduate of a post-secondary program (i.e. a diploma program) that is related to pharmacy.
  • Exceptional abilities in spoken and English are necessary, as well as reading. English writing skills would be an asset.

What Your Job Will Involve:

  • This pharmacy assistant job will take place from Friday November 1st to Friday November 29th.
  • The pharmacy assistant will be working from 9 AM to 6 PM, from Monday to Friday each week.
  • You will receive a one hour unpaid lunch break each work day.
  • You will not be required to work on weekends for this relief assignment.
  • Organizing pharmacy patient records on the computer system.
  • Maintaining prescription inventory as it is used and replenished.
  • Packaging and labelling prescriptions for staff pharmacists as they assist patients.
  • Cashing out all prescriptions at the pharmacy counter.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy premises.
  • Perform all tasks assigned to you by supervising pharmacists.
  • Our client’s pharmacy has a fully-staffed team with several licensed pharmacists and other pharmacy assistants.
