Canada Day is upon us – here’s what you need to know

This Thursday, July 1, is Canada Day, which is Canada’s national day for celebrating the anniversary of Canadian confederation which took place on July 1, 1867. Across the country, Canadians will be coming together for (small and socially-distanced)  barbecues, parties, and other celebratory gatherings, and on behalf of all of us here at RPI Consulting Group, we want to wish all of our clients, candidates, and friends a truly safe and happy Canada Day!

A day of celebration

Whether you’re a pharmacist, registered pharmacy technician (RPhT), pharmacy assistant, registered nurse (RN), registered practical nurse (RPN), licensed practical nurse (LPN), nurse practitioner (NP), personal support worker (PSW), or any other healthcare employee, we hope that you’ll take some time on Thursday to celebrate with your loved ones and and enjoy a well-earned day off. The last year-and-a-half have been a difficult time for all Canadians, but with COVID-19 vaccination numbers increasing daily, life is slowly but surely returning back to some semblance of normalcy. We’ll be back to work at our normal hours on Friday, July 2, but our Account Managers will be available on July 1 in the case of a staffing emergency or other conflict – feel free to contact our team at any time!

Regarding pay

We’d also like share a quick reminder for our candidates who receive their wages on Thursdays – because Canada Day is a bank holiday, you should expect your pay to be delayed until Friday, July 2, or potentially Monday, July 3. This is unfortunately beyond our control, but rest assured that we will do our best to get you your pay in a timely and efficient manner. Please make sure to check for accuracy when submitting your invoices via Easy Bill.

Have a safe and happy holiday!

Again, from all of us here at RPI, have a great Canada Day – be safe and enjoy the celebration! We look forward to hearing about the festivities when we’re back on our normal office hours on Friday.
