Job Title: Registered Pharmacy Technician
Job Type: 3-month Full-Time Contract
Contract Duration: ASAP for a 6 month-contract term.
System: Kroll
Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm 40-hrs/week

Our Client’s pharmacy in Penetanguishene is not looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician to take pride in their job as they work in a specialty pharmacy dedicated to providing medicine to Specialty clinics and local hospitals. This specialty pharmacy is a NON-retail, closed setting pharmacy. In the pharmacy, you will not be physically interacting with the general public; rather you would be focusing mainly on checking prescriptions and counselling patients when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in dispensing of prescriptions, including preparation and labelling in an efficient, accurate and timely fashion
- Provide technical assistance and dispensing assistance to the Pharmacist
- Regularly using the pharmacy’s computer system to fulfill orders and other tasks
- Receive and fill physician’s prescriptions, prepare bulk solutions, prepackage and label medications/prescriptions
- Comply with Federal and Provincial regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy and with all Occupational Health & Safety requirements
Qualities we are looking for:
- Active registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
- High proficiency using the KROLL computer system will be necessary-300Rx/day
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high volume, demanding work environment
Compensation:
- $33 – $35/hour
