Where will you be working? You will be in the London, Ontario area. There is convenient access by Via Rail and from the highway.
This is a contract position, starting on Monday, September 30th.

We are currently seeking a Pharmacy Assistant for our client in southern Ontario for a one month contract.

Your day-to-day activity:
- Our client needs the pharmacy assistant to be available to work for four weeks starting on September 30th , until November 1st. This is excluding October 14th (Thanksgiving Day).
- Working hours are between 9 AM and 5 PM, from Monday to Friday
- Process all phone requests in a timely manner.
- Along these lines, we are looking for someone who can communicate clearly and articulately with customers over the phone.
- You will also be expected to take accurate written notes based on your phone and interpersonal communications.
- Filling prescriptions and compounding medications.
- You will be lifting boxes of up to 30 pounds in weight.
- Managing stock and inventory
- Coordinating clinical investigations
What Skills the Successful Applicant Will Have:
- Knowledge of Manrex bifold cards, Dispill and possibly PacMed would be highly regarded by the client.
- Completion of a certification program for pharmacy assistant work would be an asset.
- Previous, long-term experience (over 1 year) as a pharmacy assistant is key.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high volume, demanding work environment.
- A demonstrated ability to learn quickly and take initiative.
What you will receive in return:
You will receive between 16 and 17 dollars per hour. Considering you would be working full-time, and that the cost of living in an apartment (for example, a one month sublet) is around 1000 dollars per month, you might even be able to save up some money while you build your experience further in this position.
