Skills You’ll Need:
- You need to have two years of pharmacy assistant experience in a community pharmacy environment.
- You need to know how to use the Nexxsys pharmacy software platform.
- You should be a graduate of a post-secondary program (i.e. a diploma program) that is related to pharmacy.
- Exceptional abilities in spoken and English are necessary, as well as reading. English writing skills would be an asset.
What Your Job Will Involve:
- This pharmacy assistant job will take place from Friday November 1st to Friday November 29th.
- The pharmacy assistant will be working from 9 AM to 6 PM, from Monday to Friday each week.
- You will receive a one hour unpaid lunch break each work day.
- You will not be required to work on weekends for this relief assignment.
- Organizing pharmacy patient records on the computer system.
- Maintaining prescription inventory as it is used and replenished.
- Packaging and labelling prescriptions for staff pharmacists as they assist patients.
- Cashing out all prescriptions at the pharmacy counter.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy premises.
- Perform all tasks assigned to you by supervising pharmacists.
