WBA’s client runs a nursing home located in the Flin Flon city limits, and they’re looking for an LPN who’s available to work full-time hours starting no later than Monday, March 25. The hours will be 3:00pm to 11:00pm daily, and the chosen candidate will be paid $31 per hour.
Your regular duties will include:
- Helping patients with regular daily hygiene activities
- Assisting patients with day-to-day tasks (eating meals, getting dressed, using the bathroom, etc.)
- Monitoring patients and taking regular assessments of their physical and mental health
- Administering medications and injections with appropriate record-keeping
- Communicating with patients’ families about the patient(s) and their ongoing care
- Updating patient charts accurately and efficiently
- Communicating concerns about patient’s overall health, treatment, etc. to the medical team
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Licensed Practical Nursing diploma from a two-year post-secondary program
- Registered with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba
- Current CPR/First Aid certificate
- Two years of work experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a similar setting would be an asset
- Superb English-speaking abilities are required for this role
- Compassionate, hard-working, and able to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team
