What Does This Mean For Your Payments?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 id=\"we-want-all-of-our-candidates-to-be-prepared-for-a-slight-service-delay\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We want all of our candidates to be prepared for a slight service delay.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3715\" src=\"https:\/\/rpigroup.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/wallet-3950973_1280-1024x594.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"594\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As you probably know already, some of our candidates are paid by electronic funds transfer (EFT). This is a service that we provide for only some of our contractors, as decided on a case-by-case basis. This service is supported by Telpay, an EFT company. Typically, it works in the following way:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">You send us your Easy Bill invoice on Thursday evening, once per week.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We process your Easy Bill once per week on Friday. If you&#8217;re set up on Telpay, we enter the payment amount (with a memo that lists your source deductions).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Telpay then checks the details of this transfer and relays it to your bank account within two to three business days.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This is simple, right? In theory it is. However, the process of checking the details of every transfer is one that takes time, which adds up considering that Telpay processes many EFTs every day. Each EFT is examined by real people.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"cs-embed cs-embed-responsive\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"eGxCrUlcDE\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/rpigroup.ca\/blog\/blog\/why-do-we-send-you-a-contract\/\">Why Do We Send You a Contract?<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Why Do We Send You a Contract?&#8221; &#8212; RPI Consulting Group Inc.\" src=\"https:\/\/rpigroup.ca\/blog\/blog\/why-do-we-send-you-a-contract\/embed\/#?secret=eGxCrUlcDE\" data-secret=\"eGxCrUlcDE\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Just like a bank would not process cheques on statutory holidays, Telpay will not be processing EFTs on February 17th, as it is a statutory holiday in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and New Brunswick. This means that when we send out your payments on Friday February 14th, it may take until Wednesday the 19th of February to receive your EFT. As always, Telpay won&#8217;t process payments on Saturday and Sunday. But everything will be closed on Monday, too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We should note, however, that even though Family Day is a statutory holiday in many provinces across Canada, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.canadapost.ca\/web\/en\/kb\/details.page?article=find_out_operating_h&amp;cattype=kb&amp;cat=sending&amp;subcat=generalinformation&amp;ecid=murl07001089\">Canada Post will still be delivering mail<\/a><\/span> (and therefore cheques, if you receive payment that way instead).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">RPI Consulting Group Inc&#8217;s office will also be closed, but in urgent circumstances, you can still contact your dedicated account manager by phone or email on Family Day.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"we-kindly-ask-for-all-of-our-candidates-to-be-patient-during-family-day-and-to-plan-your-finances-ahead-of-february-17th-as-ever-we-appreciate-your-cooperation-and-understanding\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We kindly ask for all of our candidates to be patient during Family Day and to plan your finances ahead of February 17th.
