This article will help you to more realistically define your physician job expectations.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2913\" src=\"https:\/\/rpigroup.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/dentist-4373290_1280-1024x678.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"678\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">You\u2019ve made the decision to find a new job. As a Physician, you have a lot of options. After skimming through new listings on all of the local job boards, you are left dissatisfied. None of the jobs stick out as a clear &#8216;winner&#8217;. After a few days of this, you start to put your job search on the back burner, focusing on your current practice that your heart just isn\u2019t in. Don\u2019t fall into this trap! The supposed job that checks all of your boxes may never come up. But there are a lot of opportunities out there that are a step in the right direction. Here are some tips that should help you decide whether or not a job is a good fit for you;<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"prioritize-what-is-important-to-you\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Prioritize What is Important to You<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Take some time prior to searching for new doctor opportunities and really self-reflect. Create a list of amenities and benefits that you are looking to gain from a new position. Then, once you\u2019ve listed as many as you can think of, narrow this down to 5 to 10 items. At that point, prioritize them in order of importance. The new job should meet at least 3 of your top 5 needs, with #1 being a deal breaker. You don\u2019t want to have any remorse about your decision to move. Meet with the clinic or health centre, get all the details you can, and formulate a realistic overview of the job. This helps to address uncertainties. When you do this, <strong>keep in mind that<\/strong> <strong>there will be cons in every job<\/strong>.
